I continue work on adding a drum track to a song by my friends Dave and Rich.  It's a good song, but very difficult to get the groove just the way I want.  The few times I've gotten a usable track, my hi-hat has malfunctioned.  Clever as ever, I've got a workaround that will suffice until I get the thing fixed.  So I'm expecting some good takes soon.  Work continues on my Hindu Progressive Rock piece, which remains unnamed.  It just lacks a few keyboard solos and a drum track, and it will be ready to go.  I've worked as hard on this piece as I've worked on anything, and I'm hopeful that people will enjoy it.  I'll publish it here when it's done.

In 2000 nothing catastrophic happened with Y2K, and I wrote this, and that's all that I remember of that year.  Never thought any technical stuff would happen, but I was a bit concerned about a War of the Worlds-type reaction — a lot of people were investing their lives in preparation of the non-Apocalypse.  But I digress.  I give you fair warning — this piece was done with a keyboard workstation of the period, and the instrument samples pale mightily in comparison to what's available today, so it may very well sound cheesy to many ears.
